FirstSearch is a search interface for a database of more than 40,000 libraries in 100+ countries globally. If the William A. Wise Law Library and the University Libraries don't have the resource you're looking for, you will likely find it in FirstSearch and can get it via interlibrary loan.


Databases

Lexis+ is the latest legal research database from LexisNexis. Lexis+ offers access to all primary law sources and a wealth of secondary sources, analytics, and Lexis+AI. Use is restricted to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Colorado Law School.

Westlaw Precision is the most current research database from Thomson Reuters, offering access to a full suite of legal research sources, primary and secondary. ÌýUse is generally restricted to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Colorado Law School. However, the Law Library does provide public access to Westlaw on two (2) computers on the 2nd floor of the library.

Bloomberg Law is the legal research platform form the same company who that produces the Bloomberg terminals. The web-based database provides much of the same information as the terminals with more of a legal focus. Use is restricted to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Colorado Law School.

HeinOnline provides a vast number of legal resources, providing searchable scans of the original print version of current and historical materials. These materials include historical federal and state legal sources and entire runs of many law reviews and journals.

The Law Library offers Law faculty, students, and staff more than 250 legal and other research databases. Search by subject, vendor, or database title.

The University Libraries offer members of the Law School access to more than 1500 additional, multidisciplinary databases. Search the University Libraries' databases by database title, keyword, type of resource, or subject.

The William A. Wise Law Library is proud to showcase our Law School's scholarly output. This interface searches our faculty's publications as well as our law journals (Colorado Environmental Law Journal and Colorado Technology Law Journal forthcoming) and historical collections.

The Law Library provides an extensive collection of digitized Colorado primary law and other collections, which is essential for the research needs of students, scholars, attorneys, and the General Assembly itself. Highlights from our collection includes the Colorado Session Laws, the Colorado House and Senate Journals, the Historical Colorado Municipal Codes, our Arizona v. California collection, and the David H. Getches digital collection.
