Emphasizes chemical, ecological and hydrological fundamentals and the importance of mass and energy balances in solving environmental engineering problems related to water quality, water and wastewater treatment, air pollution, solid and hazardous waste management, sustainability, and risk assessment.

CVEN 5524 (3 credits) Drinking Water Treatment 

Provides advanced study on theory-of-treatment processes, including design and operation of municipal water supplies.
