Throughout the year, the Environmental Studies department may听have employment opportunities available based on the needs of the program.听Positions not already outlined below are posted directly to听听and/or the听external听.

Student Hourly

ENVS hires student hourly employees throughout the year for a variety of purposes that range from administrative support to research duties. Key responsibilities and hiring ranges follow听the Office of Student Employment policy听as stated on听CU Boulder's Student Employment webpage.听If you are a CU student and interested in working with a specific faculty member, please view their Faculty Profile for available positions or reach out to them directly about upcoming opportunities.听If you are interested in joining the administrative team,听contact Edward Martinez including a copy of听your cv/resume and availability.听

Lecturers

ENVS听hires temporary faculty in the Lecturer job code (1419) when a regularly assigned faculty member is on sabbatical or other leave. Key responsibilities will be teaching in person, online,听or a combination thereof. The College of Arts and Sciences Level C policy, as stated听here, determines compensation for ENVS Lecturers. If you are interested in lecturing for ENVS, contact Edward Martinez including a copy of your cv/resume, and indicate which ENVS听course(s) you would like to be considered for.听

Class Graders

During the academic year, ENVS听hires听students as Graders when a regularly assigned听faculty member petitions the program听for grader support and receives funding approval. We require that you have taken the course, or an equivalent, in order to grade for the intended course. Grader pay ranges from $15-20 per hour, approximately听2-6 hours per week, and the estimated total number of hours per week are determined by the faculty lead for that course (currently ranging between 20听and 150听hours for the semester). As听such, total compensation varies between courses according to the total hours anticipated. If you are interested in grading for an ENVS course, please send a brief one-page resume of experience, including all ENVS听courses completed, to Edward Martinez.
