We organize activities and programs thatÌýdive deeply into the ideas behind, and questions raised by, our exhibitions and collections. We also create programs to exploreÌýthe creativeÌýresearch occurring throughout the university. Whether gallery talks, faculty lectures, expert conversations, concerts, performances, or workshops we welcome students and the public to join us for our free programs at the museum and around CU'sÌýcampus. Queer Tour of "Better Days"

When visiting museum spaces do you feel underrepresented as a queer person? Are you interested in learning more about queer artists in the CU Art Museum's collection? Join lead museum attendant and art history graduate student Bella Malherbe in a queer-focused tour of the CU Art Museum's Better Days exhibition where she will highlight queer and trans artists' practices.

Artist Talk: William Villalongo

Talk starting at 5:00 PM, public reception 4:30–5:00.

This event is free, and all are welcome!

Please join us at the CU Art Museum for a public, in-gallery talk by artist William Villalongo on October 30, 2024. Villalongo will be speaking from his exhibition, William Villalongo: Myths and Migrations, currently on view. Visitors are invited to attend a reception beginning at 4:30 pm. Our galleries will also be open before the talk.

Feel Good Fridays Guided Meditation

You are invited to this weekly hybrid workshop to learn about a work of art and then participate in a related mindfulness practice. You are welcome to join us in the museum galleries in person or virtually via Zoom. The powerful, guided meditation can undo stress, soothe the nervous system, and help youÌýfeelÌýrelaxed and revitalized. If practiced regularly, the meditation teaches a method forÌýfeeling calm, easeful, and resilient, even when facing life’s challenges. Meditations are open to students, faculty, staff, and the public. All are welcome and there is no need for past experience with meditation. Registration is required if attending virtually.ÌýAll sessions begin promptly at 12:15.

Get creative with us on the second Saturday of each month! Each month we’ll be putting together a different art-themed program that you can drop in on. Come in and color with us or even pick up a new skill!
