Principal of Meyer and Associates at RE/MAX Alliance,听Jeanette Meyer听(MBA鈥�87) completed the specialized real estate investment course, 鈥淐reating Wealth through Residential Real Estate Investments鈥� conducted by the Council of Residential Specialists of the National Association of Realtors. She specializes in effectively analyzing residential real estate investment opportunities and applying wealth-building strategies for clients as they relate to residential properties and the tax implications of those investments. Jeanette lives in Fort Collins, Colo.

While the program is based in Santa Barbara, Calif., it is distributed across the country. More than 14 years ago, he supplemented his first doctorate in cognitive psychology with a second in clinical psychology and has taught and conducted research at institutions in San Diego. David continues to teach at the University of California San Diego during summers.

Professor and director of the Centre for Mountain Studies at Perth College, University of the Highlands and Islands in Scotland,听Martin Price听(PhDGeog鈥�88) received a gold medal from the King Albert I Memorial听Foundation last fall. The award recognizes Martin鈥檚 exceptional knowledge and his editorial competence, both of which have played a vital role in the preservation and study of mountains.

Co-founder of Chipotle Mexican Grill听Steve Ells听(Art鈥�88) is involved in听Graham Meriwether鈥檚 (Engl鈥�02) documentary film听American Meat.听The film is a pro-farmer look at hog, cattle and chicken production in this country. Chipotle Mexican Grill sources meat from humane and antibiotic-free farms and is a sponsor of the screening series.听Steve lives in New York City.

In September听Terry Fulp听(MCivEngr鈥�88) was named regional director for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation鈥檚 lower Colorado region. Since 1989 he has been actively involved in the bureau鈥檚 Colorado River operations and management issues. As regional director he will oversee all operations in southern Nevada, Southern California, most of Arizona and portions of Utah and New Mexico. Terry lives in Boulder City, Nev.

He works with clients from all over the world and is pursing two real estate development projects in the Aspen/Snowmass area.

Bradshaw International president听Brett Bradshaw听(IntlAf鈥�90) was elected to the board of directors of the International Housewares Association, the full-service trade association for the housewares industry. Bradshaw International is a leading supplier of kitchen tools, baking items and cookware. Brett joined his family-owned company in 1994 after serving as an account manager for Nestle from 1990-93. He, his wife and their two sons live in Laguna Beach, Calif.

Emmy Award-winning adventure filmmaker听Michael Brown听(Geog鈥�90) received the 2012 George Norlin Award from the university in recognition of his commitment to excellence in his work and devotion to the betterment of society. He presented his work to students, alumni and friends who attended the Back to Boulder Luncheon Nov. 2 in the UMC. His 2003 documentary听Farther than the Eye Can See听followed Golden-based blind climber Erik Weihenmayer鈥檚 venture up Mount Everest along with guide听Jeff Evans听(Anth鈥�94). Michael and his wife and child live in Boulder.

In May听Tom McDermott听(Jour, PolSci鈥�90) graduated cum laude from the evening program of the University of Louisville School of Law. He works as a compliance analyst with Bluegrass Family Health, a nonprofit health insurer where he is helping to implement federal healthcare reform. Tom has two daughters, ages 8 and 9, who have never been to Boulder but think it would be neat to attend CU. He and his family live in Lexington, Ky.

Arvada, Colo., resident听Maureen O鈥橞rien听(Law鈥�90) received the annual Award of Merit by the 1st JD Bar Association. This award is the bar鈥檚 highest recognition for lawyers who have provided distinguished service to the bar and the community.

Since graduating from CU听Albert DeSilver听(Art鈥�91) has survived a challenging run with alcohol, a dramatic cult experience in California and has become an internationally published poet, author, teacher, speaker and writing coach. He published a book describing his harrowing and inspirational adventures titled听Breamish Boy: A Memoir听(The Owl Press) about overcoming his zany, abusive childhood, struggles with alcohol and ultimately his redemption through art and poetry. Albert lives in Woodacre, Calif.

Denver鈥檚 CBS4 news director听Tim Wieland听(Jour鈥�91) spoke at the journalism and mass communication Homecoming program 鈥淗ot News: Smart Tools,鈥� sharing how his team uses digital technology for its storytelling. Tim oversaw his staff鈥檚 coverage of last summer鈥檚 news stories, including the state鈥檚 devastating wildfires and Aurora theater shooting. In 1999 Tim covered the Columbine High School shootings for CNN.

Journalist and author听Mindy Reaves Sink听(Jour鈥�92) has written three books that celebrate Colorado:Walking Denver听(Wilderness Press), a collection of 30 original urban walking tours in the city;听Moon Handbooks Guide to Denver听(Avalon Travel), a complete guide to the Mile High City; and听Colorado Organic听(Jennifer Olson Photography), a cookbook that celebrates local chefs and farmers. Mindy worked as bureau manager of听The听New York Times听Rocky Mountain bureau for 10 years before writing her first book. Her website is .

CU couple听Tracey Kreps听(PolSci鈥�93) and听Jennifer Brundage听(Fren鈥�91) celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary in September. Tracey runs mutual funds for Vantage Point, and Jennifer has been working at the Smithsonian for about 14 years. They live in Washington, D.C.

At Pacific Northwest National Laboratory听April Dennis Carman听(Chem鈥�94) works as a scientist and project manager for the team that redesigned the CO2 scrubber for U.S. submarines. Her team received the 2012 Federal Laboratory Consortium-Inter-Partnership Award and the 2013 American Chemical Society Team Innovation of the Year Award. April lives in Richland, Wash.

After earning her Marine Corps officer commission,听Keri Berman May听(EPOBio鈥�94) attended training in Quantico, Va., where she chose her Marine Corps occupational specialty, naval flight officer. After completing flight training in Pensacola, Fla., Keri was selected to fly in the F/A 18D听Hornet听in San Diego, becoming the first female Marine to be assigned to fly in fighter jets. After two deployments to Japan and three years at Marine Corps headquarters, she left active duty in 2005. Keri and her family reside in Sandusky, Ohio. She is featured in the book听Military Fly Moms(Tannenbaum Publishing).

Last fall听Christopher Teuton听(Engl鈥�94) published his book听Cherokee Stories of the Turtle Island Liars鈥� Club听(University of North Carolina Press).The book is a collection of stories, conversations and teachings about Western Cherokee life and culture. Christopher lives in Colorado Springs.

After graduating from the Leeds School of Business,听Eric Sikola听(Mktg鈥�95) moved to the fast-paced world of Los Angeles where he founded ExpenseCloud, an expense reporting service. Beginning in 2008 he built the company to include 4,000 customers before successfully selling it to TriNet in May 2012. Prior to ExpenseCloud, Eric worked in the software industry for 15 years in various sales management positions. He, his wife and three children reside in Los Angeles.

A passion for business and media planning brought听Nicole Cimino-Taylor听(Mktg鈥�96) to INLINE MEDIA, the largest media specialty firm in the Rocky Mountain region, as senior media associate. INLINE MEDIA is a full-service media agency specializing in creative solutions for restaurant, sports, entertainment and technology industries. Nicole lives in Parker, Colo.

Last fall听Alan Culpepper听(Geog, Soc鈥�96) was inducted into the Colorado Athletic Hall of Fame at Coors Events Center. He was on CU鈥檚 cross country and track teams and was the 1996 NCAA outdoor champion in the 5,000-meter run. He still owns the school听record in the 1,500 meters.听Alan鈥檚 career includes running in two Olympics and becoming a seven-time U.S. champion. He and his wife 鈥� CU runner听Shayne Culpepper听(PolSci鈥�97) 鈥� and their four kids live in Louisville, Colo.
