Prep Room
The concrete mixing and machine shop provides a space for sample casting and the development of various testing setups. This space is also available for student club activities.
Equipment & Facilities
- Fog room with controlled temperature and humidity conditions that supports material aging and durability studies
- Fume hood
- Water hose, floor drain, and various concrete prep tools
- Environmental chamber with gloves that allow specimens to be handled from outside
- Machining mill
- Extensive power tools including miter saw, table saw, band saw, grinders, and mixers
- Large work tables
- One movable manual crane with 1.5 ton (1.36 metric ton) capacity
