After completing the above:

ÌýÌýPrepare for your advising appointment:

  • Ìýfor sample degree plans and recommended classes.
  • Majoring in astronomy, atmospheric and oceanic sciences, biochemistry, chemistry, economics, geology, math, physics or statistics? Take your math placement exam.
  • Run a degree audit and note areas you need to fulfill.Ìý
  • Create a list of questions to ask your advisor. For example:
    • I’m an open option major.ÌýWhen do I need to make a decision on a major and how can I explore?
    • What opportunities are available to me outside of the classroom?

ÌýÌýPrepare your fall semester schedule 1-2 weeks before your enrollment window. CU Boulder's allows you to directly add courses to your shopping cart, which are stored in . Remember that adding a course to your cart does not reserve your spot in the class.

ÌýÌýOfficially enroll in classes during your chosen registration window.

ÌýÌýFirst-year students are assigned to their first year academic advisor after they enroll in classes.
