The Housing Master Plan (HMP)听补苍诲 Transportation Master Plan (TMP)听project teams will each be emailing surveys to all students, faculty and staff this month as they work to gather robust data in support of these vital initiatives.
The surveys will provide the HMP and TMP teams with invaluable data sets about the campus community鈥檚 current uses and habits, as well as future anticipated needs and desires in the areas of housing and transportation.
The campus community is encouraged to watch their email inboxes for this opportunity to engage in helping to shape the future of campus infrastructure. Surveys will be sent on the following dates, with each remaining open for 10 days:
- Monday, April 15, Housing Master Plan survey sent to all students
- Monday, April 22, Transportation Master Plan survey sent to all students, faculty and staff
- Monday, April 29, Housing Master Plan survey sent to all faculty and staff
The emails inviting participation will come from the CU Boulder Campus Master Plan email address, mplan@colorado.edu. Each email will include personalized links to participate, though all information provided will be confidential and no individual responses will be identified. Each survey will take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
An overview of the survey findings will be communicated to the campus once data compilation and analysis are complete.

The housing and transportation master plan efforts both launched earlier this year.
The Housing Master Plan will set a vision for the future of on and off-campus housing, and how the university supports student success through housing. It will examine providing both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty and staff, with increased housing flexibility and choices.
The Transportation Master Plan will define innovative possibilities, and set a vision for travel to, between and through the campuses that both addresses short-term needs and sets a course for the long term. It will examine key drivers for alternative modes, such as pedestrian, buses and bikes, in addition to vehicular and parking needs.
The final HMP and TMP documents, along with the Strategic Facilities Visioning initiative, will be used to help inform the next Campus Master Plan, which is due in 2021 in accordance with Colorado statutes. This will include overarching sets of principles for how the university approaches housing and transportation, as well as recommended options to be integrated during the Campus Master Plan efforts.
In addition to the surveys, campus community members can engage with the project teams by submitting insights and questions via feedback forms on the HMP and TMP webpages.
