Bio:

As a senior in the CU Boulder Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate department, SMEAD aerospace, my focus is on guidance, navigation, and control. While on the CU Hyperloop team, I researched, coded, and simulated a rotational inertial measurement unit (RIMU) that is able to calculate gyroscope bias and use a closed loop control feedback system in order to negate bias and give accurate positional information about the tunnel boring machine (TBM). I also co-created an unscented Kalman filter that can estimate the underground position of a tunnel boring machine with over twenty sensors including; inclinometer, IMU’s, actuators, and barometers. Currently, I am continuing the development of the RIMU and it is in a testing stage to determine its effectiveness.Ìý
