Last week the Natural Hazards Center hosted their 45th听Annual Natural Hazards Workshop 鈥� and first ever online gathering. With over 800 people registered, it was the largest in the Center鈥檚 history. In addition, the Natural Hazards Center co-convened an entirely online add-on Researchers Meeting that involved nearly 500 researchers from around the world.听Lori Peek听serves as the Director of the Natural Hazards Center. Natural Hazards Center team members and major contributors to the historic convening efforts from Sociology included: Sociology doctoral alums听Nnenia Campbell听and听Jamie Vickery, Sociology graduate student听 research assistants听Jessica Austin, Heather Champeau, Candace Evans, Melissa Villarreal,听and听Jocelyn West,听and Sociology undergraduate student majors听Sandra Anaa Appiah, Megan Costa, Helen Gardner,听Luther Green,听and听Lydia Stalcup.
