Jacob Parelman is a Research Assistant in the听Social Neuroscience and Games lab and also acts as Lab Manager. Jacob recieved his B.A. in Psychology听with Latin Honors from the Unversity of Colorado听Boulder in May, 2014. Jacob's research interests focus on听how听individuals synthesize information from their past experiences听and their current social environment to give rise to rational (or irrational) decisions. Jacob听is currently investigating the underlying mechansims of decision making in adolescents, and how听peer behavior influences the risky choices that teens make.听Jacob is especially interested in how moral concepts like 'justice' are socially constructed, and听how social and spatial distance affect individuals moral choices and actions towards others (e.g.听internet 'trolls'). Jacob is planning on applying for graduate programs in social or cognitive neuroscience in the Fall of 2015.听
