In this animated film, we follow a dog having a picnic at White Sands National Park in New Mexico. A lizard comes up to the dog and steals her sandwich, and a chase ensues as she tries to get back her sandwich. By the end of the film, she gets her sandwich back from the lizard, but seeing how the lizard is also hungry, she decides to share the sandwich with the lizard.

For this project, I wanted to use my knowledge and skills in both film and animation and combine the two. Normally, my animation style is quite different, but for this project, I wanted to try out a different form of animation using stop-motion. White Sands National Park was chosen as the filming location because of its openness and simply because I love the American Southwest and its beauty. The theme of this project explores conflict and humor as we follow animated characters interacting in a real life environment. For the story, my main inspiration is from classic Tom and Jerry cartoons.
