Ashley earned a B.S. in Chemical Biology from UC Berkeley in 2019. She continued her undergraduate research on Phage Tail-like Bacteriocins and phage engineering for two years as aÌýRA with the Arkin Lab. She then worked as a development scientist for aÌýNGS-based cancer detection assay at Roche Sequencing Solutions for a year before heading toÌýgraduate school. Currently, she is beginning her second year onÌýthe Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology PhD program at CU Boulder as a member of the Copley Lab. Her project centers around the intracellular localization of metabolic enzymes in bacteria. She is currently the Treasurer of SCOPE and is passionate about increasing accessibility to and comfortability within STEM fields for students of all backgrounds.Ìý

Outside of being a bona fide STEM-nerd, Ashley spends her time as a PlayStation gamer, camper, certified baller (basketball and rugby), dog fanatic, and avid eater.
