Why you should attend

Whatever academic program you’re in, College Connection is an excellent way to meet fellow new Buffs and learn more about resources and opportunities at CU Boulder.Ìý

What you’ll do

If you’re in the College of Arts & Sciences, the College of Engineering & Applied Science, the College of Media, Communication & Information, the Program in Environmental Design or the Program in Exploratory Studies, you will attend sessions that are specific to your academic program. Meet with faculty and staff, explore your interests and learn strategies to help you start your semester strong.Ìý

If you're in the College of Music, Leeds School of Business, Pre-Business Program or School of Education, your day will be centered around life as a Buff. You’ll learn about CU traditions, get tips for getting involved on campus and more.Ìý

Cost of attendanceÌý

If you register and need to cancel, submit your cancellation one week before the event. Cancellations submitted by the one-week deadline will be eligible for a full refund minus a 5% cancellation fee. We will not be able to issue any refunds past the deadline.Ìý

Fee waiver: If you have a demonstrated financial need, apply for a for College Connection before completing your registration.Ìý

ÌýPlease note: This is a sample schedule for the day. Students will be rotating through sessions in groups, so these times may not align with your specific schedule. You will receive an exact schedule for the day when you arrive to check-in.

8 a.m. | Check-inÌý
Check in for the day! Get information about the schedule for your college or program. Students will head into the students sessions and families and guests will head to another location!

8:30 a.m. | Welcome!
A welcome session with New Student and Family Programs! You will get more information about the day, meet our staff and student leaders, and get excited for the rest of the program!

9 a.m. | Buff Breakouts
Meet your fellow incoming buffs! Journey Leaders will facilitate activities and conversation to help you get to know your future classmates and make connections before the semester begins.

10 a.m. | Getting Involved at CU Boulder
The Center for Student Involvement will give students top tips for getting involved at CU and making CU feel like your new home!

11 a.m. | Build Your CU Bucket List
Campus leaders will teach participants about CU’s traditions! Students will leave this session with a personalized CU Bucket list, full of traditions, CU experiences and goals!

12 p.m. | Lunch
Enjoy lunch with fellow College Connection Buffs!
