Brief Bio: Maxwell Elling joins the Oceans & Climate Lab in the Fall of 2024. Max is currently a Scientific Programmer in the at NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (). At GISS, Max is researching the behavior of climate extremes in and the consequences of model differences on climate impact-drivers. He is also a curator and a participating researcher in the . Before GISS, Max completed an , where he worked at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (), the International Research Institute for Climate and Society (), and the . At CU Boulder, Max is interested in investigating climate extremes and compound events in a changing climate, as well as the interactions between climate and health.
