Office Manager

Joanne Guillery is a program manager with over 20 years’ experience. She has worked nationally and internationally in supporting innovative community development, conservation, recreationÌýand fundraising programs. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota in Human Relations.Ìý

She has a passion for supporting innovative community-based projects that preserve and enhance natural environments through the process of building broad and collaborative community-based partnerships. Among her accomplishments include helping to establish village-based forest conservation programs in the Solomon Islands that successfully protected hundreds of acres of virgin tropical forest from commercial exploitation, creating the largest inner-city community garden in Minneapolis for Somali and Korean refugees and establishing a cooperative for eco-tourist guides in Madagascar’s Park Masola. Her personal life is grounded in several artistic practices that include photography, papermakingÌýand assemblage.

As the Office Manager for NEST Studio for the Arts, Joanne will continue her work of supporting programs that promoteÌýand recognize the interaction of the natural environment, art and community participation, and expression.
