Above: A frisbee golf disc launcher with wheelchair mounting and head switch operation for disabled users
We created a disc launcher for wounded veterans with limited extremity dexterity so they can again enjoy the game of frisbee golf. Our device accepts multiple disc sizes with a spring-loaded wheel that propels the disc through an arc-shaped track. The launcher attaches to a motorized wheelchair that navigates the course while the user controls launch timing and speed with two head switches.
