Dave Callan is the Director of Scripps Leadership and Career Development for Colorado student-athletes.  He oversees programming for leadership development as well as post-graduate and career planning to support the "WHOLE" student-athlete and the student-athlete's ability to leverage their unique experiences for continued personal and professional success. 

Callan came to CU in July 2011 after spending much of his time in public education. He was Director of Athletics, Activities and Student Leadership for the Douglas County School District as well having served as president of the Colorado High School Athletic Directors Association and as a member of the CHSAA Executive Committee.  He began his educational career as a teacher at Boulder’s Fairview High School and then as an administrator at Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs.

Callan earned his BS in Business from CU and has a MA in Education.  Additionally, he has been a member of the CU Boulder Alumni Association’s Board of Advisors.
