Jane Ryland Holzman spent most of her career in the field of information technology, both in private industry and in higher education, working for IBM, Storage Tech and Reference Technology as well as Virginia Tech, the Virginia Community College System, the State Higher Education Executive Officers (SHEEO), and Internet2. She was President of CAUSE (now EDUCAUSE), the professional association for IT managers in colleges and universities, for 12 years and has served on numerous boards, including the global library consortium OCLC, Collegis, the National Association of College and University Business Officers, and the American Chemical Society. She currently serves on the board of the Center of the American West. Jane lives in Boulder and enjoys bicycling, skiing, fly fishing, choral singing, and cooking.
