  • Leadership Development Program Manager at Magnite

Emily’s professional life has been grounded in education and development for folks of all ages, from all walks of life. Presently, she works for Magnite – a global, sell-side digital advertising company – as their Leadership Development Program Manager. In this role, she is responsible for ensuring that personal and professional leadership development opportunities are accessible to all employees of the company regardless of business unit, role, geographical location, or prior experience. She focuses the content around authentic leadership, building and maintaining trust, values-based leadership, and the essentials for creating cohesive and effective teams. Emily takes Magnite’s 900+ employees through a variety of different trainings and workshops that are designed to support leadership development for the individual, for the team, and for the sustainability of the organization.

Emily has always been deeply passionate about empowering young people and equipping them with the experiences and tools to make a positive impact in their world. She is a firm believer that life’s greatest lessons occur outside the walls of a classroom, but the classroom holds the space to regroup and reflect on those experiences.
Prior to Magnite, Emily worked as the Program Coordinator for the Center for Leadership at CU as well as the Presidents Leadership Class. She helped to support programming across campus that brought students to the world of leadership development. She did similar work for several years at the University of Denver with the Pioneer Leadership Program. Right after relocating to Colorado in 2011, Emily served as an eighth grade Language Arts teacher with Harrison School District 2 in Colorado Springs and Denver Public Schools. She still serves as a mentor to some of her students to this day!

As an athlete, she is also invested in developing and practicing leadership through sports and athletics. While working for CU, she was an instructor for the Leadership Studies Minor and taught LEAD 1000 – Leadership through Sports. Currently, she is a volunteer coach for the Thornton Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation program (archery, bowling, bocce, and basketball) and a volunteer and Coach Educator for Special Olympics Colorado. Previously, Emily served as the Head Coach of the University of Denver’s ACHA D1 team for three seasons and the President of the Board for the Pikes Peak Women’s Hockey Foundation. Things like resilience, teamwork, confidence, and grit are all required to achieve success both in group and individual competition. This parallels to any group setting or mission, regardless of whether or not it is athletic in nature.
Born and raised in Rhode Island, she was a transplant to Colorado straight after graduation from college. Emily holds a BA from Syracuse University and a MS from Southern New Hampshire University. Emily enjoys adventuring with her wife, Kaleigh and daughter, Finley. In the community, Emily volunteers for the Impact on Education foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and is a mentor through the Boulder-CU Leadership Program. She serves on the Board of Directors for Riverdale Dunes Metro District 1. She is an ice hockey player and fan, an amateur chef, and a trivia enthusiast.
