With the academic year quickly approaching, Colorado Law is excited to welcome the incoming class of new students. Over the next few weeks, we will be highlighting some of our incredible 1Ls through a series of brief profiles. For our next 1L highlight, meet Logan Rajendran (he/they).听
Logan was born and raised in Malaysia and spent three years in Borneo pursuing their undergraduate degree in Marine Biology. He spent his final year at Cal State University, Monterey Bay under a Fulbright scholarship, where he has lived ever since.听Prior to coming to Colorado, Logan听worked in the criminal unit of the Monterey County District Attorney鈥檚 office.听

What inspired you to pursue a law degree?听听
LR: Having spent time in activism and politics, I am deeply passionate about serving the community and bringing change to public policy and law, and this has inspired me to pursue a law degree.听听
What are your hobbies outside of work and school?听听
LR: I really enjoy reading, especially sci-fi. I also love cooking and hiking! I enjoy sightseeing and hope to explore Colorado and its beautiful hiking trails.听
Why did you choose Colorado Law?听听
LR: I chose Colorado Law for the combination of academic excellence, practical opportunities, and a supportive community. My visit to the campus in May, along with the interactions with faculty and current students, left a strong impression. Colorado Law's dedication to diversity and public interest solidified my choice.听
What are you most looking forward to this upcoming academic year?听听
LR: I'm thrilled to meet my fellow peers and engage with my professors. I look forward to learning and making great friends along the way. Additionally, since I've spent most of my life near the sea and in tropical regions, being surrounded by mountains is a refreshing change.听
