Education

  • B.S., Chemical Engineering, University of Notre Dame (2011)
  • M.S., Chemical Engineering, Unviersity of Colorado Boulder (2016)

Samantha graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2011. She worked for GE from 2011 to 2014 in their Operations Management Leadership Program in Minneapolis, Tucson, and Denver and eventually as the Lead Quality Engineer at the Denver Service Center.Ìý Samantha entered the Ph.D. program at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2014 and joined Team Weimer in December 2014. Her work focuses on solar thermal water splitting.Ìý Specifically, she uses a combined computational and experimental approach for the discovery and development of active RedOx materials for a two-step solar thermal water splitting process. Outside of research, Samantha’s interests include snowboarding, running, hiking and playing recreational volleyball and softball.
