Audrey became a part of Team Weimer in the spring of 2017 through an independent study, and is pursuing a bachelors degree in chemical engineering. With the help of her mentor, Wilson McNeary, Audrey is studying the nano-scale design of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell catalysts using atomic layer deposition on carbon substrates. Additional work is being done with nickel and platinum ALD on nanowire substrates to create novel extended surface electrocatalysts with minimal Pt content. Outside of research, Audrey鈥檚 interests include snowboarding, hiking and spending time with her dogs!听
