Boris' work focuses on modeling chemical reactions and reactors. Specifically, Boris is working on modeling a hybrid solar/electric moving bed reactor for the carbothermal reduction of magnesium oxide. Applying heat, mass, and momentum transport at the pellet and reactor scale will help in understanding the fundamental processes occurring inside the pellet, and optimize production in the reactor.
