Elizabeth Wallace is a 4th听year undergraduate student in Environmental Engineering and is pursuing a concurrent Masters in Environmental Engineering with an emphasis on air quality.听Her current research interests focus on听the听impacts听of energy use听and its contribution to community air pollution exposure.听Elizabeth recently completed a DLA (Discovery Learning Apprenticeship)听designing and piloting a project-based curriculum that leverages the newly developed soil quality monitor 鈥渟-pod鈥�, with the goal of听enhancing student engagement in STEM in rural Colorado high schools. Her previous research includes the study of ambient levels of air toxics near fracking operations in residential Colorado neighborhoods through an NSF funded REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates). In her spare time, she enjoys听backpacking and mountain biking in her new Colorado home.
