Akash (He/Him) is a postdoctoral associate in the Linden group. He is working on studying the extent of RO membrane fouling mitigation using UV-Advanced oxidation processes (AOP) for real wastewaters. He will also be working on 222 nm UV-AOP processes for contaminant degradation.聽聽
Akash graduated with a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Environmental Engineering) from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in November 2023, where he worked on photolysis of fluorinated pharmaceuticals and pesticides to understand byproduct formation. He graduated with an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2019. He has a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai, India.聽
Outside of research, Akash likes to paint, cook Indian food, and play badminton.
