Research Overview: Dr. Tuninetti is a psycholinguist/neurolinguist whose research focuses on second language learning (L2) and multilingual speech perception. She is particularly interested in how existing (first language) acoustic and phonetic representations shape further language learning. She uses both behavioral and EEG/ERP methods in her research to study language acquisition. Other areas of interest are word learning, bilingualism, executive functions, and variability in the speech stream. Dr. Tuninetti has extensive international project management and research experience having managed research projects in Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Ankara, Turkey.

Prior to joining ICS, Dr. Tuninetti served as an assistant professor in the at Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey). And before that, she was at the at Western Sydney University (Sydney, Australia) and was a member of the .

She completed her PhD in Cognitive Psychology at the (Pittsburgh, PA, USA) and completed a certificate in Neuroscience from the (Pittsburgh, PA, USA).
