Biography
Priscilla Craven received her M.A. in Italian from Middlebury College, and a second M.A. in Art History from the University of Colorado.听 At Vanderbilt University, where she got her undergraduate degree, there is an annual scholarship in her name called the Priscilla Call Craven award, given yearly to an exceptional student in the Humanities.听 Here at CU she听is the Language Coordinator for Italian, and听teaches various courses in Italian language, art, literature, and culture. Craven has served as Director and instructor for summer Study Abroad programs in Rome, and has been instrumental in adding study abroad programs to get more students to Italy. She has received many teaching awards including the Marinus Smith award, the Best Should Teach Gold award, the Department of French and Italian teaching award, and the BFA Teaching and Pedagogy award.听 Outside of class, Craven races in endurance cross country ski events, and is the Faculty Advisor for the CU Nordic Ski Club.
