Franciso is a PhD student coming听from Valparaiso, Chile. Prior to joining the IRI group, he听studied civil engineering at the Technical Federico Santa Maria University, Chile. As part of his undergraduate studies, he performed research activities to automatize crack detection using 3D images and Deep Learning. In his research, Francisco built a database consisting of 848 images and tested state-of-art models to automatize crack detection.
In his free time, Francisco practices different sports, such as tennis, swimming and cycling. He听also enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, and playing board games. Francisco is also passionate about travelling, learn about other countries, and try their foods and drinks.
