Bill joined CU Boulder as a graduate student in Civil Systems in Spring 2018 and graduated in Summer 2022. His research interests address uncertainty and decision making in natural hazards. He is currently investigating how to improve evacuation transportation planning, by incorporating new evidence gleaned from social and community demographics into existing evacuation models. Bill is also interested in how an improved understanding of uncertainty could improve the ability of rural communities and infrastructure to remain resilient to future natural and manmade hazards.听Bill is co-advised by Professor Ross Corotis.
Bill as an avid ultimate frisbee player, skier, and trail runner. Originally from the small state of Rhode Island, Bill was attracted to CU Boulder for its easy access to mountain wilderness.
