CU Theatre & Dance partners with Climate Change Theatre Action 2021 in New York City to produce ten brief climate plays by authors from around the world interspersed with fun Cabaret-style musical numbers- This Vox article explores what the growth of the alternative-meat industry might mean for farmers, ranchers, and farm workers. The article is based partly on a recent research paper by ENVS Associate Professor Peter Newton and his colleague Dan Blaustein-Rejto at the Breakthrough Institute.
Assistant Professor Karen Bailey has been appointed to Colorados Parks & Wildlife Commission by Governor Jared Polis serving a 4-year term from July 2, 2021 - July 1, 2025. The Parks and Wildlife Commission is responsible for perpetuating the wildlife resources of the state, providing a quality state parks system and providing enjoyable and sustainable outdoor recreation opportunities that educate and inspire current and future generations to serve as active stewards of Colorado natural resources.- Congratulations to ENVS Assistant Professor Cassandra Brooks who was awarded the AESS Early Career Award and recent Ph.D. graduate Urooj Raja who received the AESS Student Paper Award.
