I am excited to share with you our new platform for letting students know about the critical resources they have available to them in the CEAS!

This past year our CEAS Academic Success Team conducted focus groups with current CEAS students to better understand what they need to feel academically supported. We learned that students are often confused about, and not always fully aware of,the academic support and tutoring services available to them as engineering students at CU Boulder.

The “CEAS Academic Support & Tutoring” Canvas module was designed by the Academic Success Team as a convenient way for students to find up-to-date information about all of our academic support resources. In support of our students, I invite you to import this module into each of your courses and direct students to its location within your own Canvas course during the first week of classes. You may want to take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the many academic support services we offer as well.

Below you will find instructions for how you can import this module into Canvas. If you need assistance importing the module, please contact OIT at 303-735-4357 or oithelp@colorado.edu. If you have any questions about the module itself, please reach out to Amber Mazurana, CEAS Academic Success Support Specialist, at Amber.Mazurana@colorado.edu.

Directions on how to import the CEAS Academic Support & Tutoring Canvas module:

  1. Open Canvas and go to yourdzܲԳ button on the top left hand side panel.
  2. Go to Shared Content and look for the CEAS Academic Support & Tutoring module in your Received Content list.If you do not see this listed, please email Amber.Mazurana@colorado.edu with your CU email address and she will verify that it has been shared in your Canvas.
  3. Under Actions (hamburger) select Import.
  4. Select the first course you want to add the module to and clickǰ.
  5. Go to that course and you should find the module.
  6. Once the content is in your course, you can adjust where it appears in your course content and customize the contents of pages in the module to meet your course's needs.
  7. Repeat for each course.

With best wishes for a great fall semester!
