Note: This session is geared toward BIPOC students, but is open to all.

Let's Talk Psychiatry

Check in with a CAPS counselor to discuss medication options and get more information about medications or psychiatric care.

Please note: This service is only open to students who are not currently taking medications to manage their mental health. 

*Let's Talk Psychiatry will resume fall 2024.

 

What to expect

Before coming to Let鈥檚 Talk, consider the following questions: 

  • What is the main issue you want to discuss? 
  • What kinds of resources might be helpful to discuss? 

Here are a few additional things to keep in mind about Let鈥檚 Talk. 

Let鈥檚 Talk is a good option if you: 

  • Aren鈥檛 sure about counseling. 
  • Aren鈥檛 interested in ongoing counseling but would like to speak with a counselor. 
  • Have a specific problem you would like to talk to someone about. 

Let鈥檚 Talk is not a good option if you: 

  • Are in a crisis or need immediate support. 
  • Want ongoing mental health support. 
  • Are seeking court mandated treatment or legal advice.
