CU head football coach Mike MacIntyre is the . He received the honor on Dec. 15, along with the FWAA/Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year award by the Football Writers Association of America.聽
In early December, MacIntyre聽was named the聽, college football's聽top coaching award,聽and received the聽Pac-12 Coach of the Year designation at the end of the regular season.聽
At the start of the 2016 season, the Buffs were expected to finish last in the Pac-12. Instead, they finished 8-1 in the conference 鈥� reversing their 2015 performance of 1-8聽鈥斅燼nd won the South Division. The team fell to the Washington Huskies in the Pac-12 Championship Game Dec. 2.聽
This is MacIntyre鈥檚 fourth season as CU鈥檚 head coach. He will lead the Buffs 鈥斅爎anked No. 11 in the country 鈥斅爄n their first bowl game appearance in a decade versus No. 13 Oklahoma State at聽the 聽in San Antonio, Texas, Dec. 29.聽
