A lifelong storyteller, Joe became interested in the power of words when he realized how bad he was at math. Joe was an award-winning reporter and editor for Gannett, Newhouse and independently owned newspapers before he, like his readers, left print journalism behind. He joined CU after nearly 10 years in higher ed communications, arriving at CMCI via the Leeds School of Business. Joe became internet famous long before that was a thing when The New York Times, AP and others covered a column he wrote for his college paper that castigated Villanova University鈥檚 decision to have Big Bird deliver the keynote address at commencement.
