As a Chinese, he genuinely seeks to make a better video gaming atmosphere and wants to advocate the Chinese video game culture to the world. His master’s thesis, “Kill the Goddess to Save the Daughter: Western Christianity Decentered in the Chinese Video Game, Genshin Impact” focused on how one Chinese video game, Genshin Impact, showed the players in the world a story that criticizes the Western Christianity while supporting the political agenda of China.

Warren’s research interests mainly focus on video games, religions, and Asian cultures. He strives to connect the Chinese video game cultures to the West, as the Chinese video game industry is thriving and slowly influencing the world economy. Besides, Warren also loves to run, bike, and ski in his free time.
