Tyler LansfordÌý(Ph.D. Washington 1991) is primarily interested in the historical topography of the city of Rome from antiquity to the present. His first book,ÌýThe Latin Inscriptions of Rome: A Walking GuideÌý(Johns Hopkins 2009) features some 400 inscriptions representing the whole of Rome’s history – ancient, medieval, and modern. Lansford is currently working on an illustrated book on the development of the city of Rome from its beginnings to the end of antiquity. His teaching interests include the city of Rome, Roman history and Latin literature.
