Patrick Heenan
Student Alumni
Physics

Patrick received a BS in Physics and a BA in Computer Science in May 2014 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.听听He is rostered in the Department of Physics (Ph.D.) and the Department of Computer Science (M.S., 2017). His rotations were with Dr. Joel Kaar (Chemical and Biological Engineering), Dr. Aaron Clauset (Computer Science), and Dr. Thomas Perkins (Physics). Patrick鈥檚 research with the Perkins lab uses atomic force microscopy to study the free energy landscapes and microsecond-level dynamics of lipid bilayers, nucleic acids, and proteins at the single-molecule level.

He has taken advantage of the outstanding opportunities and research community of IQ Biology to deeply train himself in Computer Science, Physics, and Biology.
