Are you interested in conducting research and/or possibly earning a PhD in the future in a specialty area within Civil, Environmental, or Architectural Engineering?

Prospective graduate students interested in completing a听traditional research-based MS or PhD program听within Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering听along with a Graduate Certificate in Global Engineering should apply to the approriate group the admissions application and must clearly note their interest in completing the graduate certificate coursework within their statement of purpose. Are you considering, or already enrolled in, a graduate degree program here at CU Boulder but outside the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering?

Current graduate students in any department within the College of Engineering and Applied Science can earn a听Graduate Certificate in Global Engineering. To apply,听students need to complete an Mortenson Center听Graduate Certificate Application/Enrollment Form, obtain the signature of their faculty advisor, and submit the form to Sarah Goodroad (sarah.goodroad AT colorado.edu).听 Note that the faculty advisor in the student's home department will determine which, if any, of the certificate courses will count towards the student's degree requirements.

The Mortenson Center is a recognized Western Regional Graduate Program

The Mortenson Center听program is unique within the Western region of the United States, and offers residents of eligible听听a tuition benefit via the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP). For more information about the WICHE WRGP, please see听.听 Prospective graduate students within the Department听of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering who believe that they are eligible for this program should note this on their online application by marking the appropriate checkbox.听 Significant documentation is required to verify eligibility, and that process is handled directly by the听听division of the Office of the Registrar.
