Majoring in Neuroscience & Psychology with a Minor in Space
Research interests:
My main goal is to contribute in improving prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental disorders, especially ones that are not well characterized and are generally treatment-resistant. Although I鈥檓 still exploring, I am most intrigued by neuropsychology and behavioral genetics. Biology is far from the only factor that impacts mental health, but studying biological differences could reveal what predisposes individuals to develop certain mental illnesses, how people with the same diagnostic label differ, and why treatments are more effective in some individuals than others. I hope that, by studying the underlying biology of mental health, I can help develop preventative/protective measures for high-risk individuals, create more specific diagnositc categories, and individualize psychological treatments for the best effectiveness.
