Research Interests:听My program of research consists of two broad aims, involving genetically-informed and longitudinal models to: 1) disentangle confounds from the causes and consequences of substance use disorder; and 2) understand the role of cognitive/effortful control in co-occurring substance use and internalizing disorders. For the first aim, I am particularly interested in the effects of cannabis use and cannabinoids on adolescent cognitive functioning and mood. For the second aim, I am working on the Alcohol, Inflammation, and Mindfulness (AIM) Study to examine shared treatment mechanisms of substance use and internalizing problems.

春水堂视频 Me:听 Before embarking on an academic career, I grew up in South Dakota and attended college at the University of Northern Iowa. Since then, I鈥檝e been fortunate to have invaluable professional experiences (while meetings some great people) in San Diego, Indiana, Missouri, and Connecticut. In my free time, I enjoy running, eating donuts (likely nullifying any benefits from running), getting outdoors (e.g., hiking, camping), and exploring Colorado with my wife and daughter.
