        1. Not charging for students/staff/faculty (or any of the groups they are inviting).

        2. Community members will be charged $25.

      3. Last year, TED required that the only logos listed on their marketing was the TED logos. I’m assuming that that’s still the case this year?

        1. Yes, that is still the case.

    3. Discussion

      1. The fine arts performance idea was interesting.

        1. It is good to be connected to the cultural organizations, but it seemed like they were leaving it to us to do that part.

        2. If their event truly aligns with our mission statement, they would be able to do this research on their own and while we are happy to help facilitate conversations and events, it isn’t our job to make this event align with our mission statement.

      2. ASSG didn’t fund them in full last year due to lack of speaker diversity.

      3. The theme doesn't necessarily represent their event, but everyone knows what the renaissance is.

      4. We struggled last year to find that their speakers aligned with their mission, is it better this year?

      5. It was a little weird that they read us our mission statement.

            1. “It seems CEB has been willing to fund this part in the past, and I think we may not have adequately represented that the dinner is also open to all participants, not just professors and organizers. Moreover, the dinner has in the past provided students with a unique opportunity to network and talk to one another, as well as the speakers and faculty. Would you all be open to a discussion about getting (even partial) funding for the Sunday dinner of our conference?” - quote from their email.
