      1. Due to public/federal funding CU cannot directly support ballot measures, political ideologies, parties etc.

        1. Structure the conversation/theme around how people can get more involved in the topic at hand

      2. As a board, CEB could potentially provide an open platform to people in our community who have a message to share

        1. Professors at CU or other universities in Colorado

        2. People in the local/state community

        1. The Cultural Events Board aims to broaden cultural knowledge by supporting the voices of underrepresented and misrepresented groups on campus, thereby promoting student engagement with their platforms. The Cultural Events Board encourages opportunities for interaction among students resulting in respect, appreciation, and understanding for cultural differences.

      3. 7:40 PM - CU Gaming “Press Start 2022”, September 9th

        1. Notes

          1. Annual kickoff to the school year

            1. Trying to encompass all the different gaming groups on campus into one event

            2. Aimed at showcasing the various groups and hopefully providing people with the opportunities top get involved

          2. Also aimed at getting people experience that is relevant to the professional industry

          3. The current speaker is a professional LoL player

            1. 10 min: Her experience as a female talent analyst in the gaming field

          2. Are multiple orgs represented under CU Gaming?

            1. No. CU Gaming is just the host of the event

              1. Other organizations are welcomed and can have a table

          3. How are underrepresented/misrepresented groups the focus of the whole event?

            1. After the Keynote event there are opportunities for other groups to have tables in an “explore” area for them to hold activities for attendees to get involved

            2. Open to suggestions that bring in more cultural diversity

            1. Some items are specialty items that they cannot rent. What will happen to that?

              1. It’ll be discussed at the next meeting

          1. We have funded CU Gaming before because of the fact that gamer culture is still underrepresented and misrepresented on campus

            1. Additional benefit of also highlighting further underrepresented identities withing the gaming community.

            1. Trying to establish a back-to-school tradition

          3. How can we stop the event from being repetitive

            1. Ask CU Gaming if they would like help reaching out to people

              1. Just something like giving them our mailing list etc.

          4. Communication has been rough in the past with CU Gaming

            1. Make sure that we stay on top of getting responses from them and make sure they understand how important good financial organization and communication is

          5. Request that he involve the rest of the leadership team of CU Gaming

            1. Make it clear that the CEB email needs to be cc’d on all communication.
