        1. How will you be emphasizing/highlighting the cultural roots and history of hip-hop dance at your event?

All of our choreography has been informed by recognized street dance styles, and with every new style introduced some history about the cultural significance and roots is presented to the team. Many of those on the team that teach choreography for the event attend regular classes on hip hop technique and history. In terms of the actual event, we will be providing written explanations of history and cultural roots in our program, and there will be verbal recognition of history and culture throughout the event. We also aim to promote diversity within our event through our guest teams and performers, something that is very important in the culture of hip hop and street dance.
