        1. Responses:

          1. Who would you choose as your second performer should your first performer be denied, and what would the price of that performer be?

          2. Regarding our performers, our exhibition team is the most important part of our event. They are at the forefront of it all as we showcase them throughout the entire event. We rely on them to hold a workshop and also professionally judge the competition. We would like that team to be Str8jacket, as they are nationally renowned. We also did not look into other teams because we are extremely keen in having Str8jacket as our exhibition team this year. We are willing to compromise on other areas of our budget this year, so CEB can approve Str8jacket to be our exhibition team.

    1. Responses:

      1. Is the second speaker holistically needed for the success of your event?

      2. We consider Jayme Stone’s involvement to be essential to the overall impact of our event. Not only has Stone acted as a liaison between GMS and several other artists, Leyla being the only one available, but he is also a well-known public figure in the Front Range folk music scene. Stone’s involvement means increasing exposure for CU Boulder and CEB and is a key networking figure in this project. We also envision Stone as a mediator between academia and the folk music scene, thus increasing engagement of the student population. This is evident in Downbeat magazine’s description of Stone as a “consummate team player” with the unique ability to bridge gaps between intellectual and musical minds, and older and younger generations through collaborative projects.

      3. How are you getting your food from Loveland delivered here or what is the processing of transportation?

        4. Music was hype and definitely enhanced the event itself

  7. Speakers Coordinator

    1. Meeting was held with DSB last week regarding more of the logistics for VD event as well as how both boards will contribute to a successful event

      1. Potentially discussed hosting a meeting with both boards on Wednesday, 3/20 to discuss RoD as well as roles, responsibilities, and expectations. Meeting would be fully catered and potentially hosted at 6pm...let us know your availability

        1. 4 people would be able to make it

      2. Talked a bit more during the meeting about how reception would be held, potential announce date for the event (either a day before or after Oscars, so potentially 2/22 or 2/25)

        1. Leaning till after Oscars

        2. Meeting with Strategic Relations on Friday and working out game plan for TB and VD

      3. Thank you for your feedback regarding the VD poster as revisions are being sent to Catherine/marketing team via Erin!

    2. Exec board meeting was held this past Friday regarding overall layout of CEB events for the semester, ticketing, announcements, etc, and with VD and TB coming the same month, exec team came up with announcing VD and TB a week apart, as well as ticketing.

      1. Ticketing for VD 3/11-3/15

      2. Ticketing for TB 3/18-3/22 (can sell VD during this week if necessary)

        1. Hoping to sell out of VD tickets

      3. TB 4/1- 4/5 if necessary

    3. Since there would be a gap between now and April for when speakers would be coming through CEB’s end, I was wanting to see if we’d like to entertain the idea of bringing back into our discussion. As we have been focused on bringing female-identified speakers this semester as well as have gone above budget with our funds already, she would be the most financially feasible as well as would cover a mass array of topics the board has expressed interest in seeing these past speakers discussions (also can cover the refugee crisis, or how to be an activist/advocate during the Trump era). Would potentially be a small March event in an effort to celebrate Women’s Herstory Month...thoughts?

      1. An intentionally smaller event

    4. Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences expressing interest in bringing to campus...thoughts?

      1. Typically, people can reach out to CEB and this individual sent this email to 20 different people on campus

      2. Involved in young life, would be part of message

      3. Table until retreat

  8. Assistant Speakers Coordinator

    1. Working on scheduling the screenings. I saw the suggestions from last week, and I’m leaning towards Widows for one of the showings and for the second one, I would like it to be more centered around sexual violence in current day society or the #MeToo movement itself.

    2. Leaning towards February 27th (Widows) and March 6th or 13th. Any suggestions for dates that would work better?

    3. I’m not sure how I feel about this. Not a movie, it’s an hour long episode from Wayfarer Entertainment. I like the people involved, but this is really the only trailer I can find so I don’t really have a great idea of what all is going to covered.

    4. The Hunting Grounds

      1. ˮƵ rape on college campuses

    5. I like this because, since sexual assault was finally being acknowledged in Hollywood, it led to huge shifts in the conversation we in society have about sexual assault and what needs to be done about it. Also, the conversation starting in Hollywood really sparked the awareness of the #MeToo movement and started the Times Up movement as well.
