To bolster our capabilities and to help us grow, Otak is seeking a highly motivated and detail- oriented Civil Designer who is inspired by performing quality work, and wants to create sustainable infrastructure. We work on projects that involve roadway design, streetscapes, 鈥渞ight-sizing鈥 intersections and signal design; vehicular bridges; and construction management. In addition, nearly one-half of our workload is in active transportation including on and off- street paths, pedestrian underpasses and pedestrian bridges. We take pride in our ability to develop creative designs that are environmentally sensitive and aesthetically pleasing. This position is based out of our Louisville, Colorado office.

What 测辞耻鈥檒濒 do:

  • Collaborate with Engineering colleagues for roadway, path, trail, streetscape and intersection projects.
  • Design of plan and profiles, cross sections, construction phasing, grading, drainage, stormwater management, hydraulics, right-of-way, utilities, specifications and cost estimates.
  • Assist with work on vehicular and/or pedestrian bridges as needed.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • Engineering Intern (E.I.) desired.
  • Knowledge/experience designing and creating construction documents for federally funded street/highway and/or path projects per local, CDOT, and AASHTO standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Experience with CDOT, FHWA and AASHTO requirements.
  • Experience in grading, drainage, and utility design for roads and site development.
  • Although structural engineering is not a requirement, it would be highly beneficial to have experience with pedestrian bridge, underpass, and retaining wall related projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1- dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

Salary range: $67,000 - $81,000 per year.
