When Jamie graduated from Leeds in the midst of the pandemic, the job market was bleak. Rather than settle for a job that did not align with her goals, she decided to stay at Leeds to pursue an MS in Business Analytics to gain a competitive advantage. After graduating, her goal is to work as an analyst at a tech company or on a product development team.

Current senior David completed four internships before becoming the CEO and co-founder of Internalyze, an online education platform that helps learners in career transition by teaching them the necessary sales and emotional intelligence skills they need to break into new roles.

When Max learned that he could use aneducation in real estate to see the world, he aligned his internships and network to make that dream a reality.

Rising junior Maeve grew up loving New York City, Broadway and big tap numbers in musicals. She plans to take her degree to the Big Apple and work in the business of entertainment. Outside of class, Maeve works as the marketing and publicity Intern for A24, as a communications intern at Make-A-Wish Colorado and, if you鈥檙e not out of breath yet, she is also a Brew U ambassador for Morning Brew.

Damilola 鈥淒鈥 Elegbede (Eve MBA鈥21)

Damilola came to the Evening MBA program as an experienced software engineer looking to level up in his industry and step toward his dream of starting a nonprofi t. Almost every year, D travels to the Amazon River in northern Brazil to learn from the doctors and dentists who practice
there. His aspiration is to use his engineering and business acumen to better their lives.

A fifth-generation Coloradan and the recipient of our 2020 Undergraduate Impact Award, Leanne paired her mind for business and heart for doing good to make a difference in her home state鈥攊ncluding starting the first annual KidsTek Leadership Outreach program, which helps underprivileged high school students pursue college.

Kate Lanter (Eve MBA鈥21)

Pursuing an MBA is something Kate wanted since she was an undergraduate business student, but getting work experience first was priority. After working in marketing for 10 years, she decided to pursue her MBA at night while working full-time as a product manager, raising her 12-year-old son and expecting another child.

鈥淏eing a parent and being in an MBA program is no joke,鈥 says Kate. 鈥淏ecause at the end of the day, you鈥檙e not just getting the MBA for you, you鈥檙e getting it for your family, too.鈥

After the program, Kate hopes to combine her passion for makeup and skincare with her business skills in a career in good-for-you cosmetics, since Boulder is a hub for natural and organic products.

When Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar was attending CU Boulder, he was impacted by the focus on leadership and out-of-the-box thinking as well as the emphasis on mentoring. He couldn鈥檛 have predicted that those skills would be integral in his current role as CEO of Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC).

鈥淲e believe that Dubai has the proper infrastructure and business-friendly mindset to enable the development of these sectors and become a global hub. 鈥
