Etta Sandry wasthe 2022 Experimental Weaver-in-Residence at ATLAS Institute'sUnstable Design Lab.An artist, educatorand facilitator from the midwestern United States who is nowbased in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal, her material-focused research is rooted in fibre and weaving, spanningmedia through sculpture, writing and installation. Etta completed her MFA in the fibre & material practices program at Concordia University in the spring of 2021, and her work as an educator has recently included positions teaching fibre structures, and critical thinking andwriting at Concordia. Her work has been exhibited in the United States and Canada.

Etta has more than 10 years of experience working as an organizer and administrator in arts communities. Most recentlythis has included roles as a board member at the artist-run center, articule, in Montreal and as a volunteer staff member ofACRE Residency’s fibre studio in Wisconsin.
