She, her, hers

Erin has a BA in Physics and minor in Astrophysics and Planetary Science and an MS in Aerospace Engineering, both from CU Boulder. As a graduate student in aerospace, Erin was a TA for the astronomy department and realized her calling was education. She went back to school to obtain an MA in Educational Psychology from CU Denver.

Erin has taught every age from the littlest of littles to retirees, and in her winding career path has even been a Pre-K Forest School teacher, tromping through the woods with four and five-year-olds. For many years, she wrote astronomy curriculum and conducted outreach for the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP-CU). She traveled the country teaching astronomy related concepts to teachers, librarians, and PK-20 students and was privileged to be a MAVEN (mission to Mars) team member (!!). Locally, she managed a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program in Solar and Space Physics.

In her free time, Erin takes ballet classes (and, yes, she can stand on her tippy toes). She also skis, hikes, fair-weather cycles, and writes young adult fiction that she (fingers crossed) hopes to publish someday.
