Azhar is from New York’s Hudson Valley and attended Syracuse University, where he served in various student leadership roles on campus. He first joined CU in 2013 as an Assistant Hall Director supervising student staff and then spent the next chapter of his life in the Baltimore-DC area working in advising and housing. Prior to returning to Boulder, Azhar attended Tayseer Seminary in Knoxville, spending his best days by the Tennessee River and getting lost in the Great Smoky Mountains.

He enjoys adventuring through the Colorado outdoors with his wife, Genevieve, who always believes it’s the perfect time for them to adopt a kitten. When not exploring, Azhar is likely napping, practicing free throws, reading, or embracing the process of strength training.
